- Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and reservations as well as according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seating’s.
- Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation.
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow while maintaining communcation with kitchen staff, management and serving staff.
- Inform guests of establishment specialties and features.
- Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return, advising of other daily specials and upcoming events.
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
- Answer phone and respond to emails regarding reservations.
- Review reservations made through online system and maintain proper organization of floor plan.
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Exceptional grooming habits.
- Excellent at communication skills and outgoing personality.
- Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work well in fast paced, loud environment
- Detail oriented and organized.
